HOWDY HELLO!
Kim is a neurodivergent illustrator and storybook author based in Melbourne, celebrated for her bold, colourful designs and playful, character-driven storytelling.
She began her creative journey as a 2D animator, where she developed a strong foundation in visual narrative and movement. Over time, her passion for storytelling led her from screens to the world of picture books—where she now brings stories to life with humour, heart, and a touch of mischief.
Her illustrations for Kathy Weeden’s The Phonobet earned her a CBCA New Illustrator shortlist nomination, and she has since gone on to write and illustrate her own book, Lucy Loves Bugs—a celebration of curiosity, critters, and the joy of looking closely.
Kim draws inspiration from the weird, the wonderful, and the everyday magic that often goes unnoticed, crafting work that invites readers of all ages to see the world through a more curious lens.
With each project, she brings a distinctive warmth, wit, and joyful energy that is unmistakably her own.
If you’d like to know more about Kim, please say hello. I’d love to hear from you.
